Dear Stillpoint Friends,

As our Second Anniversary approaches it is with gratitude that I reflect on the role Stillpoint has played in the lives of many. Recently a woman who left Las Vegas desert for greener pastures telephoned. In spite of having found a wonderful home she was experiencing sadness and a sense of loss. Through tears I heard: “I miss Stillpoint so much. I have not found anyplace even a little bit like it here. I miss the people, the programs, the peace-everything about Stillpoint.” This conversation confirmed again the importance of the Stillpoint Mission to be “a gathering place that is hospitable to and nurturing of the spiritual life.”

Over the past year we have seen this mission actualized beyond our imaginings. We are encouraged by the large numbers who attend our programs. The Board of Directors developed a Strategic Plan which allows us to celebrate the past and give direction to the future. Conversations to expand the Facility and Staff and plans for a major Fundraising Campaign are taking place. It is my personal hope to begin a Spiritual Directors Training Program in Fall 2007. This is an exciting time for Stillpoint to be part of a larger spiritual consciousness that is emerging globally.

This Fall Calendar has many new and exciting Offerings. I trust that you will find much of interest to your spirit. Kathleen Oettinger, MA, will continue to be in attendance as a Spiritual Director, and Renée LeStrange, PhD, with a specialization in depth psychology, will be available for individual and group Dream work. Plans to celebrate our Second Anniversary in October are in place. We hope you will join us.

Sandy Friedrich, is moving with her husband, Fr. Bob, to a new assignment. For those of you who have experienced Sandy ’s efficient and gracious presence you will understand my sadness and Stillpoint’s loss, but we wish her every blessing.

As we go forward together into a season of growth and harvest we are grateful to our Presenters who give generously of their time and expertise. We are indebted to our Benefactors who make the mission and ministry of Stillpoint possible. We are inspired by all of you who come to “Be Still and Know...God.”
